Nivet was a technician on the Capitol serving under Madame President Romana. During the War Against the Enemy Nivet helped to repair Compassion. Compassion decided that she liked Nivet and he would be the perfect companion for her so after the destruction of Gallifrey she rescued him and together they explored time and space.
