The Jathaa were an alien race whose main type of transport was the Jathaa sunglider.
In 1996, a Jathaa sunglider was shot down by the Torchwood Institute over the North Sea and kept in Torchwood 1 (DW: Army of Ghosts). Its weapons system was back-engineered for use against alien invasions, the only known use of it being against the Sycorax spaceship on Christmas Day 2006. (DW: The Christmas Invasion)
The Jathaa may have a fleet of sungliders, as many sungliders appeared over the Taj Mahal when the Cardiff rift fractured. (TW: End of Days)
