Jack Watling (13 January 1923-22 May 2001[1]) played Professor Edward Travers in the Doctor Who television stories The Abominable Snowmen and The Web of Fear and the video Downtime. He was the father of Deborah and Giles Watling. Deborah appeared alongside her father in those three stories as Victoria Waterfield.
He was best remembered for playing Don Henderson on boardroom drama The Plane Makers and it's sequel, The Power Game.
