Mervyn Haisman (15 March 1928-29 October 2010[1]) and Henry Lincoln wrote the Doctor Who stories The Dominators (under the pseudonym Norman Ashby), The Abominable Snowmen and The Web of Fear.

With Lincoln, he created the character of Brigadier (then Colonel) Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart.

His estate is managed by his granddaughter, Hannah Hatt, and in 2017 she appointed Andy Frankham-Allen as the Creative Director of the Haisman Literary Estate, to oversee the use of the Haisman/Lincoln Doctor Who properties across various mediums, such as books with Candy Jar Books, Titan Comics, and the audio dramas produced by Big Finish.
