Stellar Nexus was a con-artist who claimed to be the leader of an empire. He travelled to "less enlightened" worlds and threatened them with extinction with an invasion fleet created through illusion. He travelled to Earth in the 21st century and threatened every nation of the planet. The Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald put a stop to his plans by exposing him for the fraud he was.
