Nicholas Parsons CBE (born 10 October 1923[1]) played Reverend Wainwright in the Doctor Who television story The Curse of Fenric. He also contributed to the charity reference book Behind the Sofa: Celebrity Memories of Doctor Who.

Outside the DWU, Parsons is best known for hosting Sale of the Century (ITV, 1971-83) and Just A Minute (BBC, 1967-present). He was awarded a CBE in the 2014 New Year Honours List.[2]
