History of Doctor Who
- 1968 - DW: The Wheel in Space, Episode 3, is first broadcast.
- 1974 - DW: Planet of the Spiders, Episode 2, is first broadcast.
- 2001 - Douglas Adams dies from a heart attack in California. Adams wrote the stories, "The Pirate Planet" and "Shada," and co-wrote "City of Death" with producer Graham Williams under the pseudonym David Agnew. He also served as script editor for Season 17.
