A piano was a musical instrument invented on Earth. Its sounds were produced by padded hammers striking metal strings. The sound was controlled by a keyboard of 88 keys, typically played by a single operator using both hands. The pedals were operated by feet.

In the Last Chance Saloon, Dodo Chaplet was forced to play the piano while Steven Taylor sang. Following this, Steven played while Kate Fisher sang. (TV: The Gunfighters)
