UNIT Fighting for Humankind by Sarah Jane Smith (TV: Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?)

Fighting for Humankind was a book written by Sarah Jane Smith about the operations of UNIT following the end of her involvement with them and the Doctor.

The book, which was published in late 1982, was quickly censored in much of Europe, but remained available in the United States of America from which it was often imported back to Europe, much like another "banned" bestseller, Peter Wright's Spycatcher. (PROSE: The Roving Reporter)

Later in life, Sarah Jane kept a copy of the book in her attic at 13 Bannerman Road. When she gave Maria Jackson the Verron puzzle box, she took the book out of the cupboard. (TV: Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?)
