Malorie Blackman (born 8 February 1962[1]) co-wrote the Doctor Who television story Rosa, with Chris Chibnall. She is the first non-white writer to contribute to a script for televised Doctor Who.

Blackman previously wrote the fiftieth anniversary Seventh Doctor Puffin eshort The Ripple Effect, which made her the first non-white writer for the series of eleven Puffin eshorts as well. She also read the audiobook version of the story.

She was the 2013-2015 Children's Laureate.
