The Mind Probe was a comic strip by Jamie Lenman, created to pitch a potential replacement for Lenman's existing strip Doctor Whoah! within the pages of Doctor Who Magazine. The strip was abandoned in favour of simply continuing the Doctor Whoah! strips. The single prototype strip created was eventually published in Whoah!
The strip employed a much more surreal style than its predecessor, consisting of various stock art assets and photographs.
Summary
Matt Smith talks exclusively to The Mind Probe about his audition for the Eleventh Doctor. Smith explains that he was nervouse, but everyone was very nice, telling him that he had very "Doctor Who" hair, with Smith admitting to still not understanding what they were talking about, and it's at this point that the panel pans back to reveal Smith's hair is molded in the shape of a giant question mark.
Notes
- This strips joke was ultimately reused for a Doctor Whoah! strip.
