User:WaltK
An individual who preferred to go by the name, WaltK, was a frequent editor on the TARDIS Wiki.
While many accounts agreed that he was a human, others suggested that he was, bizarrely, a giant panda bear. Further accounts went as far as to say he was a panda who used a perception filter to make himself appear human. By his own words, Walt was certain that he was "a panda masquerading as a human, or vice versa".

Time in N-Space[[edit] | [edit source]]
Walt first gained a casual interest in the Doctor's universe when they were in their tenth incarnation, around the time of the Christmas Eve in which a giant star appeared over London. (TV: The Runaway Bride [+]Loading...["The Runaway Bride (TV story)"]) The Tenth Doctor left enough of an impression on Walt that he considered him to be "[his] Doctor", although he was willing to admit that that did not necessarily make him "the best". Regardless, he considered David Tennant to be a "brilliant guy".
Roughly a year after the emergence of the Eleventh Doctor, Walt found himself taking his first glimpse upon the Doctor's expanded adventures via the publication, Doctor Who Adventures, as a means of distraction from certain hardships in his personal life. (COMIC: The Salt Solution [+]Loading...["The Salt Solution (comic story)"]) After a year, he had amassed a large pile of the weekly adventures, but had grown disinterested in reading them. He ultimately disposed of the pile to free up space, a decision he went on to regret; he subsequently sought out a number of old issues again from eBay sellers.
In 2015, he acquired his first Doctor Who novel, The Silent Stars Go By [+]Loading...["The Silent Stars Go By (novel)"], as a gift from a "dear Belgian friend".
Walt first discovered TARDIS Wiki at some point in the late 2010s, and became intrigued by its style of cataloguing every single detail of the Doctor's adventures and all that were adjacent. He became an avid editor soon after. His Wiki activity had led him to become much more engrossed in expanded DWU, specialising particularly in comics.
Walt made contributions to the Wiki in a variety of areas. He especially had a fondness for covering some of the more mundane elements of the DWU, especially those that originated from the real world, such as popular culture.
Walt was also particularly active in expanding the coverage of Doctor Who's coverage in Radio Times, as well as introducing coverage of the series in similar magazines such as TV Times and TV & Satellite Week.
Notable Doctor Who opinions[[edit] | [edit source]]
Walt's exposure to Doctor Who had been almost exclusively through its 2005 revival. He found the classic series difficult to get into, due to its format and lower production values. Despite this, he had a fondness for Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy.
His favourite Doctor Who Christmas Specials were A Christmas Carol [+]Loading...["A Christmas Carol (TV story)"] and The Husbands of River Song [+]Loading...["The Husbands of River Song (TV story)"]. He believed that Steven Moffat was the best at making Christmas Specials that actually felt "Christmassy". In contrast, Walt believed The Christmas Invasion [+]Loading...["The Christmas Invasion (TV story)"] to be the "most miserable" Christmas Special.
While David Tennant was his favourite Doctor, he considered Peter Capaldi to be a "very close second".
Walt considered Jodie Whittaker to be a "great Doctor" who was only let down by lacklustre writing.
Walt greatly enjoyed Ncuti Gatwa's performance as the Fifteenth Doctor, particularly enjoying how "unapologetically queer" he was.
Catherine Tate's performance as Donna Noble was regarded by Walt to be "iconic".
Other interests[[edit] | [edit source]]
Walt had been an especially avid fan of Sonic the Hedgehog since a young age, collecting the video games, comic books, and other such merchandise. Indeed, Walt was the original author of TARDIS Wiki's extensive page on the franchise.
Other series Walt was known to greatly enjoy included, but was hardly limited to, The Simpsons, Pokémon, Kingdom Hearts, Bob's Burgers, and EastEnders.
He also greatly enjoyed the works of the Disney company. His favourite movie in the animated canon was Beauty and the Beast.
