A Moonbase was established by the Cybermen of the "Early CyberFaction" from Planet 14 on the dark side of Earth's moon in the late 20th century. The base served as the staging area for a fleet poised to invade Earth. It also could fire missiles at approaching craft, such as the Doctor's TARDIS, which briefly materialised in space nearby. Later, in 1985, another Moonbase was established on the dark side of the Moon by time travelling CyberNeomorphs, using a stolen timeship from Hatre Sedtry. (TV: Attack of the Cybermen, PROSE: Attack of the Cybermen, AUDIO: The Ultimate Cybermen)
