Sigmund Wallfisch was an opera singer who performed in the European Contemporary Opera Company's production of Faust. He was jealous of Ilmatar for the praise that he received given his small role in the opera.

At the final performance at Cardiff Bay Millennium Hall, Wallfisch met Ianto Jones and Toshiko Sato and was killed by Ilmatar onstage, burnt to death by the sympathetic vibrations caused by Ilmatar's voice. (AUDIO: Dinner and a Show)
