Area 51

Area 51, alternatively called Wright Patterson Air Base or Wright Field and nicknamed Dreamland, was a secret US military base established near Dry Springs, Nevada following an alien spaceship crash in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. The base was designed to hold Seruba Velak and re-engineer her wrecked ship, among many other alien artefacts. In 1958, when the Tenth Doctor was taken to the base, it was under the command of Colonel Stark. (TV: Dreamland)

In 1969, Canton Everett Delaware III used the base as his headquarters while helping the Eleventh Doctor fight against the Silence. The Doctor faked imprisonment inside an unbreakable prison during his stay there. (TV: Day of the Moon)

During his brief stay on Earth in 2009, Androvax made Mr Smith hack into the Dreamland base's computer systems to acquire the schematics for the ship. He used the designs to build a ship for his escape. (TV: Prisoner of the Judoon)
