A cattle prod was a device used by the humans on the Soviet submarine, the Firebird, against polar bears. In 1983, Lieutenant Stepashin attacked Grand Marshall Skaldak from behind with the Firebird's cattle prod. This knocked out Skaldak. (TV: Cold War)
