In early November 2000, Tom was kidnapped by Iris when he tried to get on a bus to Putney Common but instead walked onto Iris' TARDIS. (PROSE: Verdigris, Talented Witches)

His first trip in the bus took Iris and him to Calgoria, where they became embroiled with the forest-dwelling Jirat and the pathologically metropolitan Trinarr. (PROSE: Verdigris)

After visiting the Court of Elizabeth I, Tom and Iris had an adventure in 1970s London involving Mr O's anti-matter creatures stealing furniture from MIAOW headquarters. Tom met two other incarnations of Iris at this time. (PROSE: Talented Witches)

While Tom was travelling with Iris, they were joined by Jenny. They aided the Doctor in defeating the Dalek Supreme in the Crystal Mines of Marlion. (PROSE: Verdigris, AUDIO: The Devil in Ms. Wildthyme)

Leaving Iris for the first time

One day, while he and Iris where in the late 1990s, they had a fight, and seeing as he was in approximately his native time, he decided to stay on Earth.

Tom would eventually meet Panda, a sentient ten inch tall stuffed bear, and five years after he left Iris, he began writing his "Wildthyme" novels, which chronicled some of his adventures with Iris. (AUDIO: Wildthyme at Large)

One Halloween, Tom dressed up in drag and used "Eartha Wyndenfire" as his drag name. (PROSE: The Golden Hendecahedron)

Second run of adventures with Iris

In the late 2000s, ten years after he last met Iris, she returned, entrusting him with the Memory Crystal, before she left with Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Feeling guilty about his "Wildthyme" novels, he decided (with Panda) to go to his publisher, Satan & Satan Ltd., and tell his editor that he would no longer be writing any more novels about Iris.

The publisher turned out to be a front designed by MIAOW, as a plan to find out about Iris' secrets, but after a showdown with the Head, Iris forced Mida to terminate Tom's contract of writing books about her. Iris, Tom, and Panda set off to have more adventures through the multiverse. (AUDIO: Wildthyme at Large)

He was sent by Marwick to the ID club. He had a first in English Literature. Iris thought he was becoming the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. (AUDIO: The Devil in Ms. Wildthyme)

During one of their adventures, Tom, Iris and Panda managed to prevent an old freighter from crashing into prehistoric Earth and killing all the dinosaurs. (PROSE: Future Legend)

Later life

Eventually Tom decided to leave Iris once again because he had fallen in love with someone, leaving Panda with her. (AUDIO: The Sound of Fear)

When Panda was visiting Darlington in 2008, he considered going to London to visit Tom. (PROSE: The Dreadful Flap)

Tom attended the party in 1972 Hobbe's End celebrating the Iris' fifteenth anniversary in print. (PROSE: From Wildthyme with Love)

Tom came to own a tiny bedsit in Baron's Court. Every Christmas Eve, Tom held a party at his bedsit for waifs and strays. Iris and Panda once tried to attend one of Tom's parties, but got distracted by Herr Drosselmeyr. (PROSE: Another Clockwork Iris)
