: Ultimately, of course, what matters is what happens in the story, but [[Sophie Iles]], the author of the story, clarified on twitter that {{Delgado}} did ''not'' regenerate at the end of the story, as the Master himself clarified "regeneration wouldn't fix his problem" (said tweet is [https://twitter.com/sophilestweets/status/1314628404445143040 here]).
