Light guns were handheld weapons used by the Elders. They captured their victims in a bright beam of white light and also discharged a form like mist, but could also stun the victim if the beam hit them in their eyes.

After being captured by a light gun, the victim could think for themselves but their actions would be controlled by their captor.

The Elders mainly used light guns to capture Savages. Exorse used a light gun to capture Nanina.

Steven Taylor stole Exorse's light gun and used it against him. He later used it against a guard at the entrance to the Elder's city. (TV: The Savages)
