References
The Cybermen
- The Doctor states that Cybermen are logical. The best way to survive Cybermen is to be useful to them, so that they keep you alive for longer. When a person's usefulness is over, the Cybermen will simply destroy you.
- Upon discovering a body, the Doctor tells Harry that it wasn't a Cybermen as they do not simply murder for gain.
- The Cybermen do not understand the word "insane".
- The Cybermen do not understand "pacts" or "giving your word", claiming them to be merely humanoid constructs.
Individuals
- The Doctor claims he is good friends with Rudolf Nureyev.
Notes
- Sadie Miller, who recreates the role of Sarah Jane Smith, is the daughter of the character's original actress Elisabeth Sladen.
- This story was recorded on 4 and 11 November 2019 at Audio Sorcery.
- An alternate ending to this story was written by John Dorney and scrapped. It originally explained how this story could coincide with Revenge of the Cybermen by including a Time Lord appearing at the end of the final part. The failure of the Doctor's mission on Skaro would have cause history to rewrite itself, which would in turn rewind the invents in this story and cause Revenge of the Cybermen to be the altered, rewritten version. It also explained other issues, such as Mary Shelley's complicated life and also the two separate accounts of Human Nature. The Time Lord finally parts after insuating the Doctor has caused a Time War.[1]
