Fidel Castro was a human politician in Cuba.

In October 1962, Fidel Castro was in the middle of the Cuban Missile Crisis. (COMIC: The Piggybackers)

In 1967, there was a poster of Castro in the café The Revolution in Piccadilly Circus.

During or prior to his eighth incarnation, the Doctor attended Castro's funeral in Havana, Cuba. The Eigth Doctor claimed that "They all loved him again by then." (PROSE: Revolution Man)

  • In the real world, Fidel Castro died on 25 November 2016 in Havana. His state funeral was held on 4 December in Santiago de Cuba.
