Shane Rimmer (28 May 1929-29 March 2019[1]) was a Canadian actor who played Seth Harper in the Doctor Who television story The Gunfighters, and also read the audiobook of the serial's novelisation. He was perhaps best known for providing the voice of Scott Tracy in Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds including in the first series episode The Man from MI.5, which was a crossover with the Doctor Who universe.
Although born in Canada, most of Rimmer's career was spent in the UK where he was extremely prolific in film and television, often playing small roles and vocal performances in productions that require an American character.
He also worked on several other Anderson series including UFO and Space: 1999. He appeared in several James Bond films (most notably as the US submarine captain in The Spy Who Loved Me), and has also had small roles in films such as Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Superman, and Batman Begins.
