A series of narrative trailers advertising Series 10 of Doctor Who featuring the Twelfth Doctor and, the last one, Bill Potts was broadcasted on BBC One, narrated by Pearl Mackie.[1]

This series of trailers was a unique case, given that they featured a description given to the Doctor by Steven Moffat in 2013.

Quote

"Heroes are important. Heroes tell us who we want to be, but, when they made this particular hero, they didn't give him a gun, they gave him a screwdriver to fix things. They didn't give him a tank or a warship or an X-Wing, they gave him a call box from which you can call for help. And they didn't give him a superpower or a heat-ray, they gave him an extra heart. And that's extraordinary. There will never come a time when we don't need a hero like the Doctor." - Steven Moffat[2]

Notes

  • This trailer features new, specially filmed material.
  • The trailers features a Dalek and a bird.
  • On a bookshelf behind the three of them, there are books labelled 'The Pilot', 'Smile', 'Thin Ice', 'Knock Knock' and 'Oxygen', in reference to some of the episodes that would be appearing in that season.[3]
