When John and Gillian attempted to visit the address which their grandfather lived at in 20th century England, they found it to be not a house but an empty yard.
Inside was a lone police box, which they discovered to be a time machine owned by their grandfather, who John had been told was "an inventor or something". After John messed with the ship's controls, the time vessel took off from Earth.
The address of the yard was Number Sixteen of the road it was on. (COMIC: The Klepton Parasites)
Behind the scenes
- The empty yard in The Klepton Parasites was clearly inspired by 76 Totter's Lane, the junkyard from TV: An Unearthly Child.
