A Saxon hunter found an anachronistic watch left on the ground in 1066 Northumbria. Steven Taylor forced it out of the hunter's hand, and as a result, was suspicious as to the First Doctor's claims that they were in the 10th or 11th century.

Steven later realised that this may have had something to do with the First Monk. (TV: The Time Meddler)
