Inspector Alfred Mackenzie was a police officer with the Metropolitan Police Service.
Biography
In 1881, Inspector Mackenzie was summoned to Gabriel Chase by Lady Margaret Pritchard, who reported the disappearance of Sir George Pritchard. The inspector had been speaking to Lady Pritchard (PROSE: Ghost Light) when he was put into a static trance and consigned to a display drawer by Josiah Samuel Smith, becoming one of Gwendoline's favourites in the collection. She believed he had come from Java.
Inspector Mackenzie awoken in September 1883 thanks to the Seventh Doctor. He continued his investigations, unaware that he had been stored away for two years and experiencing a hunger that led him to eat three English breakfasts, two elevenses and one four-course meal. He questioned Ace and Mrs Grose, (TV: Ghost Light) passing his brandy to the latter after she saw Control, (PROSE: Ghost Light) and searched the house for Lady Pritchard.
