Boye was a giant poodle of Prince Rupert of the Rhine.
Parzival of the Vegracandis gave it a bark that could stun the troops of the opposing side. This was used as a weapon by his master in English Civil War. On 26 July 1643, the Eleventh Doctor deflected this bark using his sonic screwdriver. (COMIC: Dog of War!)
