Sir Isaiah Hardy was Master of Sedgwick at the University of Cambridge in the 1930s. He vanished mysteriously, after which there was an election. The First Doctor, Vicki Pallister and Steven Taylor investigated Sir Isaiah's disappearance and located him. He was on Earth to monitor the developments of human society, but was anxious that things were taking so long so manipulated humanity but sending prominent scientist future knowledge.
