Stephen Patrick David Gately (17 March 1976-10 October 2009[1]) was an Irish pop singer and actor. He was a founding member of Irish boy band Boyzone. He appeared in the Big Finish Productions audio story Horror of Glam Rock as Tommy Tomorrow.
When offered the role of Tommy Tomorrow Gately accepted it immediately not only because he was a horror and sci-fi fan himself, but because his husband was a major Doctor Who fan.[2][3]
With Clare Buckfield, Gately performed the song "Children of Tomorrow" which featured in Horror of Glam Rock. The song was later released as Gately's first single in five years; due to the singer's untimely death, it would be his final musical release.
