Nicholas McArdle played Leonard de Vries in the Doctor Who television story The Stones of Blood.

Apoearing in over seventy film and television shows from 1969-2002, he is famous for his role in the film Doing Time and Miller in the television show To the Manor Born. He also appeared in television shows such as Z-Cars, Softly Softly, Softly Softly: Taskforce, All Creatures Great and Small, The Sweeney, The Onedin Line, Are You Being Served?, It Ain't Half Hot Mum and Bergerac.
