In April 1969, Doris Lethbridge-Stewart (then Bryden) gave birth to a son named Albert. He was the son of Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, following a tryst in Brighton nine months earlier. Two years later George Wilson, who was then courting Doris, took the boy on as his own. When they got married, Albert officially became a Wilson.
Doris and George later beget a daughter, Pamela Wilson. (PROSE: The Brigadier & the Bledoe Cadets)
Doris intended to tell Alistair, but when she checked in on him in early 1969 she saw he was engaged to Sally Wright and so chose to keep her distance. Doris wrote a letter to Alistair to tell him he had a son, but she never sent it. (PROSE: The Enfolded Time)
It was until the end of 1989 that Doris, following the death of George, told Albert about his real father. After much deliberation, and finding out his girlfriend was pregnant, Albert decided to make contact with his birth father, not wishing his children to be without a grandfather. This he did on 1 January 1990. (PROSE: The Enfolded Time) Doris and Alistair became reacquainted through this contact, and Alistair attended Albert and Tamara's wedding. Following the birth of his son, Conall, Albert discovered that Tamara's father, Samuel King, was an old service friend of Alistair's. (PROSE: Hide No More)
He and Tamara had two further children, Nicky who was born in 1999, and Lucy, who was born in 2005.
By 2000, Albert showed signs of concern over the stories his dad told Conall. (PROSE: The Two Brigadiers) Something occurred in 2004 that finally drove a wedge between Albert and Alistair. In the following years, this put a divide between Albert and Conall too, to the point that Conall never told Albert about his sexuality or that he was changing his name to Lethbridge-Stewart in 2011. (PROSE: Acceptance, And then Understanding)
No doubt as a result, Albert didn't care for the way Lucy became enamoured by the history of the Lethbridge-Stewarts, a shadow under which Albert hated living. (PROSE: Lucy Wilson) In late 2017 a job promotion forced him and his family to relocate from London to a small town in South Wales called Ogmore-by-Sea. By this point Conall was married to Dean and lived in London, and Nick was away at university. (PROSE: Avatars of the Intelligence)
Appearance
Albert had blue eyes. (PROSE: The Bandril Invasion)
