Epoch bombs were a type of temporal weapon developed by the Dalek Empire during the Last Great Time War. Able to eradicate entire epochs from history, the Daleks intended to use epoch bombs to remove the Time Lords and Gallifrey from time. To develop a cache of the bombs, the Daleks moved into the Althos system to mine its gas giants, only for the War Doctor to destroy their fleet and the uninhabited star system during the battle. (PROSE: Decoy) Towards the end of the War, the Daleks developed a similiar plan with de-mat equipment during the Battle for the Tantalus Eye. (PROSE: Engines of War)
