The Odds Against was the fourth and final story in the audio anthology Ravenous 3, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by John Dorney and featured Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor, Nicola Walker as Liv Chenka, Hattie Morahan as Helen Sinclair and Mark Bonnar as the Eleven.

Publisher's summary

The Doctor, Liv and Helen have landed near an abbey housing the gateway to the dimension in which the Ravenous were originally imprisoned.

But their plans to enlist the inhabitants' help in defeating their pursuers are disrupted when they stumble over a dead body. Strange creatures roam the corridors and something monstrous may be awakening beneath their feet.

  • The Doctor finds the monastery based on information discovered by the Eleven in the L.E.G.E.N.D. database. (AUDIO: L.E.G.E.N.D.)
  • The Nine created a prison. (AUDIO: Companion Piece)
  • When the Eleven is feeling his history being rewritten, the Eighth Doctor reassures him that he went through that before. (TV: The Five Doctors, PROSE: Interference - Book Two)
  • The Eleven can’t remember what he did as the Nine that led to their encounter, and mentions that this is a side effect of crossing one’s own time stream. The Doctor has experienced this many times. (TV: The Day of the Doctor).
