Matthew Jacobs (born 1 July 1956[1]) is a British writer, director, actor, and producer. He was the writer and co-producer of the 1996 Doctor Who TV movie.

He shared his memories of writing the TV Movie, as well as visiting the set of The Gunfighters (co-starring his father Anthony Jacobs), on the 43rd edition of Big Finish's charitable podcast series Toby Hadoke's Who's Round. He was also interviewed on the documentary The Seven Year Hitch.

Career

His writing credits include episodes of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Ruth Rendell Mysteries and the animated Disney film The Emperor's New Groove.

Personal Life

When he was a child, his father, Anthony Jacobs, brought him on set to see filming of the Doctor Who story The Gunfighters in which he played Doc Holliday.
