Mikey Nero was a gangster in the employ of the Dragotta Family.
In 1963, Mikey stole money from Johnny Dragotta, and Johnny ordered that Joe and Lou should take him into the Nevada desert to be killed. While Mikey was digging his own grave, an agent of the Cybock Imperium arrived and killed Mikey's kidnappers before turning on him.
Mikey was also killed, but his likeness was recreated by a Cybock using a hard-light hologram who used this disguise to enter the Sands Hotel and reach Johnny Dragotta. (COMIC: Gangland)
