On 24 September, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1965 - "Small Prophet, Quick Return" was recorded at Riverside Studios 1. (TCH 6)
- 1966 - Episode two of The Tenth Planet was recorded at Riverside Studios 1. (TCH 8)
- 1973 - Location filming for Invasion of the Dinosaurs took place. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Third Doctor)
- 1993 - Location filming for Dimensions in Time took place. Sophie Aldred realised that she had forgotten to wear jewellery that she had worn on other shooting days, and the team had to look for an easy replacement in case of confused continuity.
- 2000 - The Big Finish audio story The Mutant Phase was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2009 - Big Finish's audio adaptation of the unproduced TV story The Song of the Space Whale was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2013 - Big Finish's audio anthology Dark Eyes 2 was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2019 - Big Finish's audio anthology The First Doctor Adventures: Volume Five was recorded at the Soundhouse.
- 2020 - The Big Finish audio story Colony of Fear and Jago & Litefoot: Series Fourteen were recorded.
- 2021 - The BBC announced that Russell T Davies will succeed Chris Chibnall as showrunner from 2023 onwards.
