New World University was an institution of higher education run by Victoria Waterfield. (HOMEVID: Downtime)
She founded the university with money she had inherited from the estate of her father, Edward Waterfield. The university had no instructors or tutors; instead, all instruction was designed and delivered via computer.
The students, known as Chillys, wore a uniform of green sweatshirts with the New World University logo in yellow across the front and yellow caps bearing the NWU logo, as well as headphones through which they listened to a hypnotic electronic beat.
