Mr Ross was a presenter for Red Nose Day.

Biography

While presenting Red Nose Day with Claudia Winkleman, he was witness to the TARDIS' materialisation on-stage, to which he had various reactions such as "oh my word!", and "OMG LOL, look at that!".

The Eleventh Doctor then walked out and said hello to him and Winkleman, with Ross declaring "it's the Doctor!". The Doctor recognised him as "Mr Ross", and shook his hand. Ross thought that he was a "busy doctor".

After the Doctor described his prior watch of the show they were presenting, Ross asked if the Doctor would watch it again, to which he said he would watch it "a million times" before listing off later segments of the show. Upon Russel Brand being listed as a later part of the show, Ross remarked "what could possibly go wrong?". Ross and Winkleman then proceeded to again ask the Doctor whether he was going to watch it again, to which the Doctor again confirmed that he would watch it "a million times", if he sat down with a cup of tea and some Jammie Dodgers.

Mr Ross then informed the Doctor that if he wanted to watch it again, he'd have to donate again, to which the Doctor said that he could find some money by travelling back in time to "find a million pounds". Before the Doctor introduced the next item, Ross interrupted him to inform the audience that he wasn't a real doctor, and to not let him take their temperature using just his finger, which he stated "[wasn't] a sonic screwdriver". His place was instead taken by Dermot for Red Nose Day 2013. (TV: The Doctor Appears)

Jonathan Ross was among the celebrities who promoted Red Nose Day by floating over Beanotown in a Red Nose-shaped hot-air balloon.

While floating, he remarked on the brilliance of the balloon-based Red Nose Day promotion, moments before the balloon was punctured by a police officer's dentures. The balloon, with the celebrities inside, then flew around the sky before crashing into a jam factory, which they fell into, letting out "celebrity screams".

After the celebrities exited the factory, covered entirely in jam, Dennis the Menace joked that he thought it was "just your nose that was meant to be red" before ordering his dog, Gnasher, to lick them clean, with Ross saying "stoppit!" in response, before proceeding to thank Gnasher.

He and the group of celebrities were then recognised by a boy with a blue shirt as "famous people", with the boy leaving to get his "autograph booksy-wooksy".

Ross then explained to Dennis that their "nose in the air" had blown out, and asked how they'd get around Britain. Dennis responded by telling the celebrities to explore Beanotown while he and Gnasher fixed the balloon. Ross agreed, and left to "see what this place is really like!".
