A male Aztec human was to be sacrificed to the Aztec god of rain, Tlaloc, which he saw as an honour.

Susan protested against the sacrifice and Barbara Wright, impersonating the god Yetaxa, asked the High Priest of Sacrifice, Tlotoxl, to stop it. When the victim complained, Tlotoxl told him that he could still have honour if he killed himself. He then jumped off the side of the temple. (TV: The Aztecs)
