The planet Merin was the location of the Apocalypse Clock. It had an ancient civilisation which Bernice Summerfield thought was very advanced for the time they lived in. Its people dominated the galaxy for over 300 years before regressing into tribal behaviour. (AUDIO: The City and the Clock)
