(No idea what's the preferred styling in the real world, but in "War of the Sontarans" Dan clearly says *the* Pier Head.) Tag: 2017 source edit |

The Pier Head was tourist attraction in Liverpool.
When he was caught by Sontarans aboard an Imperial Sontaran Time Carrier, Dan Lewis feigned ignorance and replied "All right, lads. I was just looking for the Pier Head?". He claimed to be a lost tourist. (TV: War of the Sontarans)
Behind the scenes
- Although not made explicit in War of the Sontarans, Pier Head is part of Liverpool's waterfront which was seen in both Welcome to the TARDIS... and The Halloween Apocalypse. The Museum of Liverpool is located there.
- On 6 October 2021, the Doctor Who social media accounts posted a picture of a Sontaran flagship hovering above the Liverpool docks at "George's Pier Head".[1][2] The spacecraft was reportedly projected across the night sky.[3] This was part of a bigger promotional piece for Doctor Who: Flux.
