Academician for Game Logic was a role on the Homeworld which studied the upcoming War in Heaven using game theory.

Devonire was appointed to be the first of the Academicians 32 years before the start of the War. Since the Homeworld and the enemy had essentially unlimited resources, the War made no sense unless it was thought of as a game or ritual. The Academicians were dedicated to understanding and winning that game, and their work produced an age of great intellectual progress and development on the Homeworld.

However, game logic was abandoned soon after the fighting began. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
