Aladdin, or Ala-eddin, (TV: Marco Polo) was the title character in a popular fairy tale which was often adapted into pantomime. The story featured a lamp and a magic cave.
Aside from the titular character, other characters in the story included Princess Jasmine, a genie, (PROSE: The Christmas Cracker Conundrum!) Widow Twankey, and an evil sorcerer. (PROSE: Timewyrm: Revelation)
