Axos created a duplicate of Bill Filer and sent it to the Nuton Power Complex to kidnap the Third Doctor.
However, the real Filer had escaped and arrived at Nuton, where he fought with the Axon duplicate. During the fight, the duplicate was forced into the light accelerator and disintegrated. (TV: The Claws of Axos)
