Mr Grant was a NASA scientist who worked on the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. Around this time he was expecting a child. He found the Eleventh Doctor working on the Apollo 11 rocket. He and Gardner questioned the Doctor and threatened to imprison him. President Nixon, River, and Rory then came and spoke to Gardner and Grant, and convinced them to let the Doctor go.
