Local Hospital Treats "Man From Space"

The Daily Chronicle reported on a "man from space" staying at Ashbridge Cottage Hospital. The article featured a photo of Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and Liz Shaw surrounded by journalists. Unusually, there was no follow-up article on the story. (PROSE: The Secret Lives of Monsters)

According to information received by the Daily Chronicle, it was not just a freak shower of meteorites that recently descended from the skies to land in Oxley Woods.

A source at Ashbridge Cottage Hospital has told our reporter that a "man from space" is being treated in one of the private rooms. Certainly, the hospital seems to have been the centre of attention for the military units drafted in to check the woods for any hazardous materials related to the meteorites. Oxley Woods and the surrounding areas remain cordoned off while the army completes its tests.

The officer apparently in charge of the military aspects of the operation, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, told reporters that the "man from space" rumours have no basis in fact, although he declined to answer any further questions. Dr Henderson, who is said to be treating the spaceman, also declined to comment, although the Head of Pathology at Ashbridge, Dr Lomax did confirm that a specialist had arrived from London, "But we call in specialist help for all sorts of ailments," he pointed out. "Not just space sickness!"
