Torchwood Los Angeles was the base of operations of the Torchwood Institute in Los Angeles. This branch of Torchwood was based in an old mansion in the hills outside Los Angeles. (AUDIO: The Dollhouse)
History
Torchwood Los Angeles was set up in the 1970s by Mr Beamish, a British agent of Torchwood, as the Institute wanted to monitor alien phenomena in a former colony. Beamish described the team as a last outpost of the British Empire. Marlow Sweet, Charlotte Du Bujeau and Gabriella Martinez were recruited by Beamish.
