Minoan was a civilisation on one of the islands of Greece.
In the Masterplan Journal, Missy referred to the Master's attempt to summon the chronovore Kronos as the Minoan Manoeuvre. (PROSE: The Secret Diary of the Master)
At some point in the far future the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones arrived on a spaceship inhabited by the Silurians Eldane, Reysa and Jenstra. The ship originally belonged to the Minyans, and the Doctor claimed that the TARDIS confused "Minoan" with "Minyan", to which Martha remarked that this notion was "a stretch". (GAME: Lost in Time)
