From the top of the page: ''"It should be relocated at A Fix with Sontarans (TV story) because this is the same story with an eight-second alternate ending. Having two articles, with key information randomly divided between them, is unhelpful and damages encyclopaedic coverage."'' - I'm just chiming in to say I agree. The slight change of ending in this version could easily be added to a Notes/Trivia section of the "TV Story" version of the page, along with a thumbnail to show the revised version. Whilst others have split pages (see Terror of the Vervoids, with its TV story page and home video page), they usually have more significant edits than simply changing 7 seconds of what appears on a screen. This getting its own page is just unnecessary - it'd be like making whole new pages for every story that's been released with optional new effects and pretending they're valid enough to warrant their own page, IMO. — [[User:FractalDoctor|Fractal Doctor]] [[User talk:FractalDoctor|<span title="Send a space-time telegraph">@</span>]] 16:59, 29 June 2023 (UTC)

: Not that I disagree with the merge, but seven seconds of footage to a mini-episode is more of a substantial change to seven seconds of footage to a four-part serial with episodes at twenty-five minutes apiece. Plus, the new ending should be in the <tt><nowiki>== Plot ==</nowiki></tt> section of the article article, perhaps under a subheading <tt><nowiki>=== 2023 ending ===</nowiki></tt> or something, so it'll be compatible with {{tlx|cite source}}. This is comparable, IMO, to different editions of novels and stuff. But I feel we gotta take another look at the validity of the original cut first else we'll have a source that is both valid and invalid which makes little sense. {{User:Epsilon the Eternal/signature}} 17:09, 29 June 2023 (UTC)

From the top of the page: "It should be relocated at A Fix with Sontarans (TV story) because this is the same story with an eight-second alternate ending. Having two articles, with key information randomly divided between them, is unhelpful and damages encyclopaedic coverage." - I'm just chiming in to say I agree. — Fractal Doctor @ 16:59, 29 June 2023 (UTC)

Not that I disagree with the merge, but seven seconds of footage to a mini-episode is more of a substantial change to seven seconds of footage to a four-part serial with episodes at twenty-five minutes apiece. Plus, the new ending should be in the == Plot == section of the article article, perhaps under a subheading === 2023 ending === or something, so it'll be compatible with {{cite source}}. This is comparable, IMO, to different editions of novels and stuff. But I feel we gotta take another look at the validity of the original cut first else we'll have a source that is both valid and invalid which makes little sense. 17:09, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
