The Terpsivores are an old Betelgeusian species of 60ft long centipedes known for gaining their power through dance. Their technology included a Terpsivore Controller which could travel across seven galaxies and transport people, spaceships that resembled dance floors and were powered by dance, and they could use hypnosis through weird techo music. Their spaceships traveled by translocating into hyperspace and also had self-destruct settings. Terpsivore time was kept in microspans, twelve of which were less than two minutes. (DWA: Death Disco)
- The Doctor described the Terpsivore's "natural form", meaning that they may be able to morph from their centipede appearance.
